RMD Rhein-Main Deponie GmbH

Our group of companies includes Rhein-Main Deponie GmbH (RMD) and Main-Taunus-Recycling GmbH (MTR). The headquarters are in the Rhein-Main landfill park between Wicker, Hochheim and Massenheim in the Main-Taunus district. The Rhein-Main Landfill Park is also the location of the Flörsheim-Wicker landfill, which is in the decommissioning phase. At the site of the landfill park, we also operate systems for recycling and disposing of waste and systems for generating renewable energies in cooperation with other companies. The RMD is responsible for the closure and aftercare of the Flörsheim-Wicker landfill.

In addition, the RMD group of companies is responsible for the closure and aftercare of the Brandholz landfill park between Usingen and Neu-Anspach in the Hochtaunus district, the Offenbach-Heusenstamm slag landfill and the Flörsheim-Weilbach landfill. Systems for generating renewable energies are also operated in the Brandholz landfill park.

The RMD was commissioned by the two groups of shareholders, the Hochtaunuskreis and the Main-Taunuskreis, to dispose of the organic and green waste generated in the districts. In the bio-waste fermentation plants in the Rhein-Main landfill park and in the Brandholz landfill park as well as the biomass yard in Grävenwiesbach, the organic and green waste is processed into compost and fermentation residues and marketed as fertilizer / humus fertilizer. The resulting biogases are used to generate electricity and heat.

In addition, MTR operates and supervises the soil treatment center in the Rhain-Main landfill park and remediation and renaturation projects for contaminated sites as well as sand and gravel pits.
