Since the company was founded in 1957, we have dedicated ourselves to the recycling of metal scrap. From this we have defined our core business: the economical and environmentally friendly processing of steel and foundry scrap as well as non-ferrous metals in order to return them to the economic cycle as secondary raw materials.

In doing so, we orientate ourselves towards the needs of our regional and national customers who, in addition to primary raw materials, primarily use the secondary raw materials we produce to manufacture their products.

Our company has established a solid position in the raw material recycling market of the SAAR-LOR-LUX region and is now one of the most important secondary raw material suppliers to the largest steelworks and foundries in this region.
In times of scarce resources, recycling is becoming more and more important.

Originally started as a classic scrap and metal recycler, we have gradually expanded our fields of competence and today cover almost all disposal areas with our diverse services.

Our many years of expertise in waste management makes us a strong and efficient partner for our customers from industry, trade, public and private households.

Since 2014, Loacker Saar Recycling GmbH has been part of the LOACKER Recycling Group, which is at the forefront of the European waste management industry.

History

• 1957 - Foundation of the SRP - Saarländische Rohprodukte Handelsgesellschaft Günter Sehn GmbH & Co. KG
• 1999 - Takeover of the company by LOACKER Recycling GmbH, based in Götzis / Austria, 50% and Scholz AG, based in Essingen / Germany, 50%, renaming to SRP - Saarländische Rohprodukte GmbH
• 2008 - Installation of a shredder system (Metso-Lindemann Power-Zerdirator) and a hydraulic large shear in Homburg
• 2014 - The partner LOACKER Recycling GmbH takes over the 50% share of Scholz AG Essingen and becomes the sole partner of SRP GmbH. SRP GmbH becomes a 100% subsidiary of LOACKER Recycling GmbH. The family business LOACKER Recycling GmbH, which was founded in 1876 and has won several awards, has more than 43 production sites and over 1200 employees in 7 countries and is one of the top players in the European waste management industry.
