Baur & Sons GmbH

In 1951 Georg Baur founded the family company of the same name and already carried out gravel deliveries, earthworks, demolition work and rail freight forwarding in the early days.

Since the construction of the first nuclear power plant, Block A, the company Georg Baur or Baur & Sons has been active in a wide variety of areas in the Gundremmingen nuclear power plant.

In 1980 he appointed his sons Robert and Hans Baur as managing directors and at the same time the company was converted into a GmbH. The scope of business now extended to road construction work and street cleaning. Over the years, additional business areas such as container service, recycling, waste disposal, recycling and composting have developed.

Stable pillars formed from the individual divisions.

This resulted in the expansion of the company with a branch in Günzburg-Deffingen in 1990. The Günz-Kompost Wertstoffe branch has been a certified waste disposal company since 2002 in accordance with §52 KrW- / AbfG with all associated permits and is therefore authorized to collect, transport, store, treat and recycle waste.

In Deffingen, too, Baur & Söhne is state-of-the-art in terms of its machine technology and know-how.

At other points in the branch, building rubble and construction site waste, foil and cardboard packaging, scrap and bulky waste are collected, sorted and recycled or disposed of in an orderly manner.

In 1992 the main company moved from “Angerweg” Gundremmingen to the “Am Hirschbach” industrial park, where the headquarters and administration are still located today.

In 1998, founder Georg Baur and his wife Regina Baur withdrew from the operative part of the business processes.

The family company Baur & Söhne currently employs around 55 people in the various corporate divisions. The machine and vehicle fleet are always up to date.
