We have been a purely family business since our company was founded in Mönchengladbach over 70 years ago. This is not only noticed by our employees - we offer a pleasant working atmosphere, additional social benefits and always have an open ear - but also by our customers. Personal contacts and short distances enable us to find tailor-made solutions at short notice.

In recent years, a lot has happened in terms of disposal and environmental protection. We keep pace with this development, among other things through recultivation measures and through our modern vehicle fleet.

STEFAN, ERNST AND CHRISTIAN ZIMMERMANNS

Ernst Zimmermanns has been managing director of our company since 1971. He is actively supported by the sons of Stefan Zimmermann, a state-certified environmental consultant, and Christian Zimmermann, a state-certified environmental technician.

In 2016, the entrance to our waste disposal facility in Wetschewell was repaired.

In order to meet the increased demand, our vehicle fleet is constantly being increased, e.g. B. with a Schmitz Cargobull trailer.

2014
In order to do even better justice to our recycling concept, the Terra Select T5 has been supporting our fleet since 2014. With this drum screening machine we sort soil, compost, waste wood and more.

The powerful shredder 'Willibald EP 5500' with AdBlu actively strengthens our vehicle fleet.

We have been certified as a waste management company for collecting, transporting, trading, storing and handling.

2009
In 2009 we started collecting mixed packaging using a waste compactor.

With the construction of a BimSch. Approved waste sorting facility, we expanded our options in material recycling.

Marketing of raw materials for paper, plastic and regrind complements our range of services.

The workforce at Zimmermanns grew from 11 to 19 employees. The latest technology and raw material marketing are a good recipe for looking successfully into the future!

1996
The workforce at the Zimmermanns company grew from 3 to 11 employees. The vehicle fleet expanded to include excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, wood shredders, sorting and rubble systems and jaw crushers. The container vehicles were already equipped for rope, hook and trough containers.

1973
Containers, the new transport technology, determine the market. The Zimmermanns company worked with roll-off containers in various sizes.

1971
Ernst Peter Zimmermanns took over the company in the 2nd generation.

1968
Modern wheel bearings expanded the fleet and streamlined the work.

1962
The demand for sand and gravel grew so quickly that the sand and gravel pit in Wetschwell had to be expanded.

1955
Even in the post-war years, the company improved physically hard work with conveyor belts and sieves through motorization.

APRIL 1946
Ernst Karl Zimmermanns and his wife Else founded the business in April 1946. Sand and gravel were driven with three employees and car transports were also offered.
