We, 'THE GREEN ANGELS', are an amalgamation of three independent companies in the waste management industry. We have made it our business to operate efficient recycling at a high level and at low cost.

History

THE BEGINNING - Birth of a business idea

As early as the 1970s, the B. Dettmer Reederei was shipping coal from Rotterdam and Duisburg to Nuremberg. At the beginning of the 90s, the transport of construction waste and waste incineration slag for disposal in the Ruhr area and remineral Rohstoffverwertung und Entsorgung GmbH & Co. KG, based there in the port of Duisburg, was acquired.

This gave rise to the business idea of ​​managing disposal routes - the hour of birth of Durmin Disposal and Logistics GmbH. The two founding partners B. Dettmer Reederei and remineral Rohstoffverwertung und Entsorgung GmbH & Co. KG are in the name of 'Durmin'

THE DEVELOPMENT

The first areas at bayernhafen Nürnberg were rented as early as 1995 , before the first plant for processing mineral waste, construction rubble and slag from the waste incineration plant in Nuremberg went into operation two years later.

The company premises were constantly expanded in the following years through expansion areas and the construction of numerous new facilities. In 2000, a plant for processing conventional commercial waste and construction site mixed waste was built, two years later a paper sorting and recycling plant and again a year later a waste wood processing plant.

Since 2004, ashes and residues from flue gas cleaning can be conditioned into backfill building materials, which are then used in salt mines to secure cavities there against being pushed in by the ground.

In 2005, the plant for commercial waste processing was replaced by a commercial waste sorting system, with which from now on mono batches such as plastics, wood, metals and other recyclable materials are produced for recycling.

Further expansion areas for a new building rubble and ballast processing plant, as well as a system for processing electrical and electronic scrap were added in 2011.

A document destruction plant was built in 2013, before the slag plant was modernized in 2014 using the latest technology. Most recently, the inventory was expanded in 2015 to include a KMF press for artificial mineral fiber wool.

In 2017 DIE GRÜNEN ENGEL are expanding their activities to include a state-of-the-art waste wood processing plant and an intermediate storage area of ​​18,000 m² for excavated earth and construction waste.

THE GREEN ANGELS TODAY

After the company was founded in 1993 by one man and two strong shareholders, DIE GRÜNEN ENGEL already have more than 280 active employees. The occupations range from unskilled workers to graduated chemists, mineralogists or civil engineers, as well as many others.

The operating area has also increased tenfold from 13,000 m² in 1995 to 130,000 m² today. The inventory includes 9 processing plants, as well as a locksmith's shop, a truck workshop and a truck washing facility. The company also has its own fleet of 95 vehicles and its own container service.
