Meindl Entsorgungsservice GmbH

Baierner Höhe 1-3, Lappersdorf, Bayern [Bavaria], Germany | Waste Management

Today, Meindl Entsorgungsservice GmbH is a certified waste management company (according to §52 KrW- / AbfG) and is one of the largest waste disposal service providers in the region. The company now has around 175 employees. We also own around 100 vehicles. Our customers include municipalities, industrial and commercial enterprises, supra-regional organizations and private clients.

Our disposal company operates in the city of Regensburg and the district of Regensburg as well as in Upper Palatinate and Lower Bavaria.

In April 1952, Walburga and Michael Meindl founded the company 'Fuhrunternehmen Walburga Meindl' based in Baiern. The first truck was bought and off we went. The first jobs were to transport sand, gravel and crushed stone for road construction. In 1963 Richard Meindl bought the first garbage truck, which laid the foundation for the waste management company. In 1964 two more vehicles followed, because the demand for an orderly 'ash barrel emptying' was great. The first garbage disposal contracts were signed with the communities of Wörth, Wiesent, Nittendorf, Hainsacker and Lappersdorf.

The Meindl company also contributed to the 'German economic miracle'. The company developed from a one-man operation to the largest waste disposal company in the region. At the end of the 1970s there were already 30 employees and 18 trucks.
