Society in the Ostalbkreis for waste management
Graf-von-Soden-Str. 7th, Schwäbisch Gmünd, Baden-Wxfcrttemberg, Germany | Waste Management
The GOA introduces itself.
GOA, the company in the Ostalb district for waste management mbH, was founded in 1992 as a 100 percent subsidiary of the Ostalb district to carry out public waste management tasks. Since January 1, 2005, the majority of the company has been in private hands. The main shareholder with 51 percent of the shares is Hörger Holding GmbH, based in Sontheim / Brenz. The Ostalbkreis holds 49 percent of the shares.
The management of waste from private households includes the collection and disposal of household waste and the collection of bulky waste and scrap metal for the approximately 130,000 assessed households. In addition, there is the separate collection and environmentally friendly processing of green and organic waste as well as recyclable and problematic materials. The GOA operates two disposal plants and an excavated earth and rubble dump as well as 19 recycling centers on behalf of the district. In 1997 she also took over the assessment and collection of fees from the Ostalb district.
We also make our entire know-how available to our customers from trade and industry.
Our Philosophy
The main goals of waste management - waste prevention, preparation for reuse, recycling, other waste recovery and environmentally sound disposal - are the principles on which the work of the GOA is based.
From A for waste wood to Z for zinc phosphate sludge, from the simple provision of containers to the processing of commercial waste to the creation of system logistics, we offer our customers advice and help with all questions relating to waste. Our extensive offer also includes the activities of waste and immission protection officers. Our customers can concentrate on their actual tasks and leave the 'rest' to us.
We are certified
GOA is certified as a waste management company (Efb). The 'Efb' quality mark guarantees our customers waste disposal in accordance with the Recycling Management Act.
Our public relations and our waste advice
The Waste Management Act calls on the disposal companies to 'clarify the goals of waste avoidance and recycling through targeted public relations'. The general public should be advised to 'avoid the generation of waste, to keep the pollutants in the waste low and to contribute to recycling '.
Implementing this sober legal text with ingenuity in practice has been the concern of GOA public relations since the company was founded. The GOA waste advice service answers all questions about disposal - by phone, in a personal conversation, by post and via the Internet. We offer brochures and flyers on special topics. And of course all this information is also available here on our homepage.
