GBN Services was incorporated in 1986 and has grown to become the leading skip hire, recycling and waste company across London and the South East. We have a strong regional presence supported by established UK wide partners.  Our customer-focused, reliable and sustainable services are reinforced by business operating systems accredited with ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001 and ISO 14001.

We began life as a haulage operator, based in Leyton and operating UK wide.  We progressed into skip hire, recycling and waste services in 1995, quickly establishing our strong reputation for putting customers first.  Needing to expand, we bought an additional depot in Basildon in 2001.  This allowed us to better serve the Essex area, expand our services and grow our business.  We haven’t looked back.  

In 2005, we made our first acquisition, with the purchase of NSM in Southgate. Our expansion has continued throughout the last decade with the purchase of RCL skips (2005), Eco Logic and F Darlington (2006), Churn Waste (2007) and Ace Waste (2008). By 2010, GBN had appeared at number 15 in the top 50 UK fastest growing waste companies (CIWM February 2010). We went on to acquire Uxbridge Recycling and Bridgeman Skips in 2011 and, finally, Hunts Waste in 2012. Since then our focus has been on fully integrating the businesses under the one name, ensuring our commercial, construction and domestic customers receive the strong customer focus for which GBN Services has become known.

Our most recent developments have included an upgrade of our existing facilities and a brand new installation at our Basildon facility. Here we have invested in the latest equipment that allows us to bale and wrap materials that cannot be further sorted. At this stage, they are sent as refuse-derived fuel to generate energy. GBN Services is privately owned and is part of RVL Holdings PLC who also provides storage solutions, bonded warehousing and logistics.

Facilities throughout London and the South East

We operate from six sites throughout Greater London and the South East. Our facilities include fully licenced recycling centres, waste transfer stations and an end of life vehicle plant. See our Recycling Centres for full details.

One of the largest fleets of waste vehicles in London

With over 200 vehicles including 125 skip lorries, 18 roll on roll off lorries, 15 dustcarts and 17 artics, we have one of the largest waste fleets in London.  Our fleet is well built, fully maintained and with all having Euro 6 engines, compliant with the highest emissions standards.

Extensive stock of containers

We have in excess of 12,000 skips and other containers. This extensive stock allows us to support our customers with on or off-site segregation whatever the quantity or type of waste, or the needs of the individual site.

Specialist waste handling systems

We have on and off-site equipment with which to handle and process a wide range of waste streams. This includes 360-degree excavators, trommels and other screening equipment, wood chippers and materials shredders.
