Commercial IT Recycling LTD is exempt from the environment agency. Current exemptions that are in place are displayed in our legislation page. You must make sure your organisation is playing their part in preventing the redundant IT equipment ending up on waste sites and landfills. Approximately 60-70% IT equipment requires attention in order for it to be functional. There are potentially serious consequences for you and your company if you do not comply by environment agency legislations. These consequences include fines, bans on your products and even imprisonment.

How sensitive is the data? Which of the 2 methods is best for you?

• Physical data destruction from our bespoke destruction machine, completely demolishes the hard drive. Once destroyed, photographic evidence is provided with the audit report as proof.
• HMG The DoD 5220.22-M data sanitisation method, this is a 1 or 3 wipe procedure depending on how sensitive the data is.

Once the data destruction procedure is complete, your company will be issued with all the relevent data destruction certificates and proof.

• Bespoke data destruction machine, which can physically destroy or electronically wipe which allows for reuse.
• Data destruction Cerfitificates are issued on a strict company procedure.
• Any materials which are unusable are recycled and disposed efficiently.
