Texplast GmbH

Andresenstrasse 5, Bitterfeld-Wolfen, Sachsen-Anhalt [Saxony-Anhalt], Germany | Plastic Recycling

Texplast GmbH emerged from a previous operation of the film factory ORWO (Original Wolfen). In the former film laundry, old film waste was processed using a special chemical process. Here rare raw materials such as silver and polyester plastics could be recovered and then fed back into film production.

Since the re-establishment in 1992, the company has developed into a leading recycling specialist, especially for PET plastics. Texplast GmbH stands for high quality of its products. The existing and well-founded know-how enables us to meet the high requirements of our customers for more than 25 years.

Today around 100 employees work for Texplast GmbH and around 54,000 tons of bottles are processed each year. This results in approx. 37,000 tons of PET flakes, most of which are used for the production of PET packaging tape, PET films and PET fibers in the textile industry.

Some of these PET flakes are used in the regranulation process directly in Wolfen. With the VACUREMA process used here, up to 12,000 tonnes of food-grade regranulate can be produced per year, which meets the requirements of Regulation (EC) No. 282/2008 and is therefore suitable for direct food contact.

Texplast GmbH is a subsidiary of the packaging manufacturer FROMM Plastics GmbH in Kölleda (Thuringia). We are part of the FROMM Group, which has been a leader in the market for packaging systems for securing goods in transit for decades in the steel and plastic strapping as well as airpad and air cushion packaging segments.
