RDB plastics GmbH

RDB plastics GmbH is a raw material trader that has been active since 2005 and specializes in the purchase and sale of used plastics.

With more than 120 employees at five locations and a nationwide sales force throughout Germany and the neighboring European countries, continuous, healthy growth has been achieved in recent years and the product portfolio expanded.

Experts in the trade of waste plastics

Today one of the largest companies for the trade and recycling of plastics, the company started in 2003 as RDB GmbH in a small style at the Loop (Schleswig-Holstein) location. After various raw materials (paper, metal, plastic) were initially traded, the RDB moved its headquarters to Aukrug (Schleswig-Holstein) in 2007 and concentrated exclusively on the plastics sector. Since ten buyers in Germany and neighboring countries together contributed to sales of already 200,000 tons of foils, hard plastics and PET bottles, the company opened another branch in Oberhausen in 2010, which also increased the logistics advantages for suppliers from central and contributed to Western Europe.

In 2008, RDB became a subsidiary of Interseroh, a subsidiary of the ALBA Group, and merged with INTERSEROH Rohstoffe GmbH and INTERSEROH Kunststoffaufdarungs GmbH in 2010 to form RDB.

In order to give suppliers from Eastern and Southern Europe advantages in freight costs, the RDB opened another branch in Koper (Slovenia) in 2011. In 2016 the Oberhausen branch moved to Duisburg in order to cope with the steadily increasing handling volumes.

Due to the successful development of the plastics business in the following years, the RDB installed - among other things - 20 buyers across Europe and is currently trading an annual turnover of 400,000 tons of plastics (295,000 tons of film and hard plastics, 100,000 tons of PET bottles and 5,000 tons of EPS).

The company is a certified waste disposal company with the QM certificates ISO 9001: 2015, ISO 14001: 2015 and an AQSIQ license for export to China.
