Founding

The Mündel company was founded in 1952 by Mr. Fritz Mündel. The company, which is now run by the third generation, bears the name of Horst Mündel, the father of today's managing director Sabine Mündel.

Textile waste and waste paper

In the beginning, the trade in textile waste and waste paper was the focus of the company's activities. The growing environmental awareness of the population, the need to conserve resources from raw materials, made it possible to include additional resources in the company's program. A container service was set up and in addition to textile waste and waste paper, plastics and foils were added. Sorted plastic waste is ground and, if requested by the customer, also regranulated.

Expansion of the company

The company's headquarters are on Ostendstraße in Hof-Jägersruh. Another branch is located at Leopoldstraße 60 in Hof and since 1.9.2012 also another branch in Helmbrechts under the name Recycling Containerdienst Günter Fichtner as a branch of Horst Mündel GmbH & Co. KG.

Current

Under the management of Sabine Mündel and her 35 employees, modern recycling services are the main focus of the company's purpose. Reliable service, environmentally and professional treatment of waste at fair prices are the company's motto.
