Due to rapidly increasing quantities of plastic and a growing number of different types of plastics, qualified recycling, in addition to waste prevention, is an important ecological task for our future.

With our national and international partners, we are constantly looking for innovative ways of recycling plastics and their waste.

In 1993, the GFR Gesellschaft für Recycling mbH was founded in Hamburg with the aim of collecting valuable plastics and their waste, and of recycling them in an orderly manner.

With the various tasks and new challenges, the GFR also grew. In 2006, we bought a 20,000 m² unbuilt area in Henstedt-Ulzburg. Here, we were able to plan our new plant according to our wishes and requirements and to move into the new premises in November 2007 after a smooth construction. In addition to the new office and the spacious warehouse, we have been able to implement our quality assurance requirements even more consistently thanks to our own weighbridge, baling press, a stacker truck fleet and many other useful details.

In addition to our services, we have installed cutting grinders and shredders to produce grinding material from plastic production waste .
