Victoria Goodwill to Host E-Waste Recycling Event

The collection is meant to properly dispose of e-waste, which can release toxic materials into the soil and waterways.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Victorians will have a chance to dispose of their electronic waste on April 26 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Goodwill, located at 4302 Houston Highway.

Goodwill Industries of South Texas is hosting the event in honor of Earth Month. The collection is meant to properly dispose of e-waste, which can release toxic materials into the soil and waterways.

“By donating your e-waste to Goodwill, you’re not only helping to protect the environment but also providing critical resources to our job placement and training programs,” said Amanda Garcia, vice president of development.

Monitors

Desktops

Laptops

Tablets

Cellphones

Scanners

Hard drives (internal or external)

Keyboards

Mice

Speakers

Cords and cables

Webcams

Printers

Software

Businesses with large donations can RSVP for a scheduled drop-off time online to help speed up the process.

Goodwill collected more than 100 tons of e-waste in 2024 and aims to double that total this year. The nonprofit partners with Dell Reconnect to process the e-waste, which also helps fund Goodwill’s job placement and training programs.

“In the last five years alone, we’ve helped more than 27,500 individuals in South Texas gain access to job training and employment opportunities. Your donation changes lives,” Garcia said.
