Plastics Industry Association and American Chemistry Council Host Washington, D.C. Fly-In
The Legislative Fly-In strengthens the connection between local plastics employers and policymakers on Capitol Hill.
SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): The Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and the American Chemistry Council (ACC) once again hosted a joint Annual Spring Meeting and Industry Legislative Fly-In. These events bring together stakeholders from across the plastics value chain to advance key policy priorities to shape the industry’s future, address economic challenges, and highlight innovation.
The Legislative Fly-In strengthens the connection between local plastics employers and policymakers on Capitol Hill, offering a platform to discuss critical issues such as manufacturing, trade, sustainability, and innovation. “The plastics industry is a cornerstone of American manufacturing, and our Legislative Fly-In gives attendees a unique opportunity to share how we’re driving innovation, strengthening U.S. manufacturing, advancing sustainability, and supporting over one million American jobs,” said Matt Seaholm, PLASTICS President & CEO. “It’s vital that lawmakers understand the real impact of plastics and the importance of a policy environment that supports economic growth.”
“America’s Plastic Makers are leading the way in creating innovative solutions that support a more resilient U.S. economy,” said Ross Eisenberg, Vice President of American Chemistry Council’s Plastics Division. “These visits with policymakers give our members the opportunity to highlight how smart policies can help grow American manufacturing, enhance recycling and circularity, and ensure the continued development of essential materials that support millions of U.S. jobs and everyday life.”
