UFP Industries to Invest in Deckorators New York Facility
The preliminary site works are expected to commence this month. The facility is expected to open in the fourth quarter of the current year.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): A $77 million investment has been announced by UFP Industries to build a new Deckorators facility in Lackawanna, New York. This will be the Northeast's first Deckorators production location.
When finished, the property will span around 30 acres and house a cutting-edge campus with two structures totaling almost 240,000 square feet of manufacturing area. By the following year, it is anticipated that the campus will generate about fifty new jobs. It is anticipated that the initial site preparations will start this month. It is anticipated that the facility will open during the current year's fourth quarter.

The production capacity of Deckorators' Surestone composite decking product is anticipated to increase with the construction of the new plant. Surestone technology ensures exceptional durability and heat resistivity by using a mineral-based composite rather than conventional wood-plastic blends. Additionally, it provides room for further growth in the upcoming years, according to Ryan Kemp, executive vice president of Deckorators.
Deckorators are welcome in Erie County, according to the Erie County Industrial Development Agency. With the new plant, Deckorators will play a significant role in enhancing Western New York's economic growth. It expressed gratitude to Deckorators for selecting Lackawanna for their upcoming expansion.
