EREF Announces 2025 Fall Classic in Chicago

Additional sponsorship opportunities will be opening in Spring 2025 for industry partners.

SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): The Environmental Research & Education Foundation (EREF) has announced preliminary details for its 2025 Fall Classic & Networking Event on September 16 & 17, 2025. The annual event will be held at Cog Hill Golf & Country Club in Chicago, IL, and is sure to provide a unique opportunity for networking and competition in a relaxed environment. A highlight of the industry’s calendar, the Fall Classic draws leaders and innovators from across the waste and sustainability sectors. 

Waste Connections will be the event’s primary sponsor, supporting EREF’s charitable mission to advance scientific research and create educational pathways that enable innovation in sustainable waste management practices. Additional sponsorship opportunities will be opening in Spring 2025 for industry partners. 

The Fall Classic will kick off on Tuesday, September 16, with an evening networking reception at the Westin Chicago Lombard, where attendees can enjoy hors d’oeuvres and an open bar. The tournament itself will take place on Wednesday, September 17, with participants playing a round on Cog Hill’s famed No. 2 Ravines and No. 4 Dubsdread courses. Following a shotgun start and scramble format, the day will conclude with a luncheon and awards ceremony to celebrate outstanding play and team spirit.
