SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): On November 19th at Harry Cary’s in Chicago, IL, Al Capone’s Vault opened for a very special meeting of the minds. The first gathering of the Centurion Waste Alliance brought together professionals to talk about the industry—current issues, where it’s going, how it has evolved, and other important topics. Founded by Samuele “Sam” Barrili, Centurion Waste Alliance’s mission is to bring together individuals to collaborate on innovative strategies for their respective fields, whether it’s in recycling, collection, media, academia, or marketing. Barrilli wants every member to share a common goal: combine discipline and intuition to develop actionable strategies that improve every aspect of their personal life, from health to relationships, and more. Creating a relaxed environment where like-minded individuals can exchange ideas, opportunities, and resources in a privileged context, it will foster genuine dialogue and turn ideas into concrete and actionable steps.
Barrili began his journey in this field in 2009, assisting dozens of waste management companies across America and Europe in increasing their annual profits by more than 25 million dollars. In 2019, he launched his own MiM agency with a focus on leveraging innovative business strategies to drive growth and profitability. Barrili began sharing content, educating, and consulting with waste company owners worldwide to help them transform their business results through strategic planning and execution. He has worked with world-class clients, implementing strategies that significantly enhanced their operations and profitability. He is also a monthly contributor to Waste Advantage Magazine’s Business Strategies column.
“The Centurion Waste Alliance was founded with the vision of creating an exclusive network of passionate and innovative professionals, and last night was a testament to what we can achieve when we come together. The exchange of ideas, thought-provoking conversations, and collaborative energy set the foundation for something truly special,” said Barrili. Participants in the first Centurion Waste Alliance meeting included people from the following companies: Bravo Environmental, Camo Crew Junk Removal, Waste Advantage Magazine, DC Advisors, Hauler Hero, and Upcycled Waste.
Starting the evening with a cocktail hour and introductions, the conversation continued as the group segued into an intimate dinner where everyone shared their backgrounds in the industry and their perspectives on how it has evolved, what has shaped the changes, and what the future holds. The dinner was a great way of honoring contributions to the industry and welcoming guests into the Centurion Waste Alliance.
Barrili emphasized that his goal is to create and share a valuable network of professionals in the industry who can collaborate and share common strategies to move their businesses forward. “Since I have been in this space, I wanted to use my services in this industry to create the best solution and a networking movement where we share everything. This is the beginning of a revolution in waste management—and those who were attendance are at the forefront. As others join in upcoming events, we will start to bring ideas to the table that are shared and bring people together. The Centurion Waste Alliance showcases the power of a united and forward-thinking community in the waste management industry. My hope is to give people the opportunity to build meaningful connections. This is just the first step in a journey where we’ll share strategies, resources, and tools to grow our businesses and collectively transform the industry.”
