SEATTLE (Waste Advantage): Tenamec, the parent company to Builtrite, DRKHorse, Lemco and SAS Forks, announces the appointment of Jewell Machinery as their new dealer for the State of Virginia. Founded in 2000 at their Rocky Mount location, Jewell Machinery serves the forestry, construction, waste and scrap markets with industry leading brands. They also excel at custom designing and fabricating equipment to meet specific customer requirements and have a long-standing tradition of servicing their customers throughout the Mid-Atlantic Region. Andy Waszil, Tenamec’s Northeast Regional Manager, explained, “We are looking for dealers that fit our model of supporting niche markets within the construction equipment industry like scrap handling and processing, waste handling and forestry. Jewell’s experience in these markets and their willingness to customize their equipment to meet customers’ specific needs, along with their extensive knowledge of hydraulics and the electronics that run them, make them an ideal partner for us.”

Jewell Machinery will be responsible for selling and servicing Builtrite stationary electric material handlers, Builtrite’s extensive line of attachments, DRKHorse Shears, Concrete Crushers and Grapples and SAS Forks’ line of heavy-duty loader forks, the SAS Extreme auto dismantling system and the SAS Scorpion Engine Puller. Mike Jewell, President said, “We are very excited to bring on the Tenamec line of products, which will help us expand our presence into markets we already serve. This partnership just seems to make a lot of sense for both companies and we look forward to working with the Tenamec team.”
