November 13, 2024-North American Scrap Metal Prices Dropped on the Index
Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat over the previous day.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices recorded a decline on the ScrapMonster Price Index as of Wednesday, November 13, 2024. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered a marginal decline. Also, Aluminum and Stainless Steel scrap prices dropped from the day before. Meanwhile, Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on the Index.
The price of Alternator scrap reported no change on the Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing dropped by $0.06 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.06 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.06 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed a decline of $0.01 per Lb on the Index over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.06 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed a decline of $0.02 per Lb on the Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap and Cu Yokes prices were flat over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators, and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained stable as of November 13, 2024.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.
Romex Wire prices too posted a decline by $0.01 per Lb on the Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed Units Starters, and Xmas Lights reported no change from the previous day’s price levels.
1100 Scrap prices registered a decline of $0.02 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were down by $0.02 per Lb on the Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too dropped by $0.02 per Lb each.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions and 6063 Extrusions/Fe dropped by $0.02 per Lb over the day.
Also, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions witnessed a decline of $0.02 per Lb when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators’ price was down marginally by $0.01 per Lb from the day before. Aluminum Radiators/Fe and Aluminum Transformers prices held steady. Breakage 50% Recovery prices witnessed a decline of $0.01 per Lb as of November 13, 2024.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices recorded a decline of $0.02 per Lb on the Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets, and MLC Clips prices inched lower by $0.02 per Lb.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too declined by $0.01 per Lb.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC inched lower by $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding, and Zorba 90% NF prices too were down by $0.02 per Lb on the Index.
#1 Bundle prices remained flat.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change as of November 13, 2024.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on the Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap, and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
201 SS prices held steady on the Index.
301 SS and 304 SS Solid prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.
304 SS Turning prices recorded a decline of $0.01 per Lb as of November 13, 2024.
309 SS and 316 SS Solid prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb from the prior day.
310 SS prices witnessed a decline of $0.02 per Lb on the Index.
Also, 330 SS prices were down by $0.03 per Lb on the Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed a slight decline on the Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap, and Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each as of Wednesday, November 13, 2024.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day’s price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings, and Yellow Brass prices recorded a decline of $0.01 per Lb each on the Index.
