Wieland Strengthened North American Footprint with Key Acquisitions

The company bought family-owned Morgan Bronze Products, Inc. in Lake Zurich, Illinois- a prominent manufacturer of precision machined finished products.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Leading red metals manufacturer The Wieland Group, situated in Ulm, Germany, has announced two significant acquisitions to increase its presence in North America.

The company bought family-owned Morgan Bronze Products, Inc. in Lake Zurich, Illinois- a prominent manufacturer of precision machined finished products. The 77-year-old business specializes in manufacturing bespoke industrial ready-to-mount parts and components as well as bushings, bearings, and washers. According to a press announcement from the company, the deal was formally finalized during the first week of October.

Dr. Erwin Mayr, CEO of Wieland, commented on the acquisition and stated that the inclusion of Morgan Bronze will bring a staff with experience and skill. Additionally, it will increase Wieland's capacity for designed product manufacturing, assembly, and servicing in North America. According to Mayr, the acquisition will assist the business in expanding its presence in developing industries like aerospace and defense.

Second, it purchased the Italian heat exchanger producer Onda, which has operations in Finland, Delaware, Ohio, and Italy. Wieland's involvement in the local heat exchanger and data center cooling industries is anticipated to increase as a result of the acquisition.
