5th August, 2024-North American Scrap Metal Prices Dropped on Index
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices recorded decline on ScrapMonster Price Index as on August 5th, 2024. Steel and Stainless Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper and Brass/Bronze scrap prices registered marginal decline. Also, Aluminum scrap prices dropped on Index.
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.06 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.06 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.06 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed decline by $0.02 per Lb on Index over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were down by $0.01 per Lb over the day. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.06 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed decline by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap remained unchanged.
Cu Yokes prices reported no change over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained stable on August 5th, 2024.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices were down by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.
Romex Wire prices too posted decline by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.
1100 Scrap prices registered decline by $0.02 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were down by $0.02 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too dropped by $0.02 per Lb each.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions declined by $0.02 per Lb over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions witnessed decline by $0.02 per Lb when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators prices dipped by $0.01 per Lb. Aluminum Radiators/Fe Aluminum Transformers prices held steady. Breakage 50% Recovery prices declined by $0.01 per Lb on August 5th, 2024.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices recorded decline by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips were down by $0.02 per Lb.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too declined by $0.02 per Lb.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC inched lower by $0.02 per Lb each over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too were down by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
#1 Bundle prices remained flat.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on August 5th, 2024.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady on Index.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.
304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.
304 SS Turning witnessed no change in prices on August 5th, 2024.
309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were flat from the prior day.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed slight decline on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices were down by $0.03 per Lb each on Monday, August 5th, 2024.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices recorded decline by $0.03 per Lb each on Index.
