Smurfit WestRock Announced Debut Listing in NYSE and LSE
Also, the company now has a standard listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker ‘SWR’.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Smurfit Westrock plc, the combination of Smurfit Kappa and West Rock, announced primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) under the ticker ‘SW’. The merger between the two entities had reached a successful completion on 5th July, 2024. Also, the company now has a standard listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) under the ticker ‘SWR’.
The trading of the shares on the LSE commenced with effect from yesterday, 8th July, 2024 8 AM BST. Meantime, the trading on the NYSE too commenced at 9.30 AM EDT, following a bell-ringing ceremony.

Commenting on the development, Tony Smurfit, Chief Executive Officer, Smurfit Westrock noted that the combination of Smurfit Kappa and West Rock has created a world-leading sustainable packaging player, by integrating the priceless experience and expertise from both the companies. The combination has resulted in the creation of the ’go-to’ leader in sustainable packaging, he added.
Ken Bowles, Chief Financial Officer, Smurfit Westrock stated that the combination had received overwhelming support from the shareholders of both Smurfit Kappa and West Rock. The combined entity enjoys unique geographic footprint and unparalleled value to its customers, Bowles said.
