3rd July, 2024: North American Scrap Metal Prices Inched Higher on Index
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American copper and aluminum scrap prices surged higher on ScrapMonster Price Index as on July 3rd, Wednesday. Brass and Bronze scrap prices too were up on Index. Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices held steady on Index when matched with the day before.
Copper Scrap Prices
The price of Alternator scrap edged higher by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing rose by $0.11 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also up by $0.11 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright went higher by $ 0.11 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index. #3 Copper-Light copper prices edged higher by $0.11 per Lb.
Copper Radiator prices were up by $0.04 per Lb.
Copper Transformer Scrap prices inched higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. CuYokes prices increased by $0.02 per Lb on Index. Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb when compared with the previous day.
Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe were up by $0.04 per Lb each on July 3rd, 2024.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery prices rose by $0.02 per Lb.
Heater cores prices were up by $0.02 per Lb on Index.
Romex Wire prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units and Starters witnessed marginal increase by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day price levels.
Meantime, Xmas Lights too recorded increase by $0.01 per Lb over the day.
Aluminum Scrap Prices
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were steady on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the previous day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe increased by $0.04 per Lb each. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on July 3rd, 2024.
Chrome Wheels remained flat on Index.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices held steady over the previous day.
Litho Sheets and MLC Clips witnessed no change from previous day’s levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC saw no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held steady.
Steel Scrap Prices
#1 Bundle prices remained flat.
The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 3rd July, 2024.
HMS 80/20 prices held steady.
Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.
Stainless Steel Scrap Prices
201 SS and 301 SS prices were flat on Index.
304 SS Solid prices too were unchanged over the previous day.
304 SS Turning prices recorded no change on July 3rd, 2024.
309 SS and 310 SS prices held steady on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were stagnant over the prior day.
316 SS Solid prices witnessed no change on Index.
Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region soared on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices surged higher by $0.03 per Lb each on July 3rd, 2024.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices were up by $0.01 per Lb each on Index.
Red Brass, Yellow Brass and Rod Borings prices increased by $0.03 per Lb on Index.
