Sonoco Opened New State-of-the-Art Metal Packaging Facility
The facility houses modern laboratories, prototyping equipment, training rooms, and collaboration spaces.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Hartsville, S.C.-based global sustainable packaging major Sonoco announced opening of its new, state-of-the-art multi-million dollar metal packaging facility. The 11,000 square foot facility to promote metal packaging innovation is located at 2850, Charter Street in Columbus, Ohio.
The facility houses modern laboratories, prototyping equipment, training rooms, and collaboration spaces. It offers a centralized location that provides customers with design support, advanced technical services, process development, engineering, and training, the company press release said.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony of the new state-of-the-art center represents another milestone in Sonoco’s journey of excellence and its ongoing commitment to high-quality metal packaging solutions. The new center will facilitate increased collaboration between makers, brand owners, industry suppliers, and scientific partners to explore latest technologies to the benefit of its customers.
Commenting on the development, Howard Coker, President and CEO, Sonoco hoped that the continued investments that leverage new technologies and innovations will help the company deliver most modern and efficient industry solutions to customers.
