London Metal Exchange Announced Roll Out of New Organisational Design

These four individuals will jointly work to drive forward the development of the LME markets, the press release noted.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The London Metal Exchange (LME) announced changes to its organisational structure. The Exchange also made several senior leadership appointments, to complement the recently announced appointments by LME Clear.

The LME has introduced three focused business lines – Sustainability & Physical Markets, Market Data and Trading, which will be led by four existing senior LME executives. Accordingly, Georgina Hallett will be the Chief Sustainability Officer and Head of Physical Markets. Robin Martin will lead the enhanced Market Development function. Kate Smith will be in charge of running the Market Data business line. Also, Jamie Turner will be the permanent LME COO and head the Trading business line.

The LME announced appointment of Susan Small as General Counsel, who will oversee the legal function across LME and LME Clear. Kirstina Combe has been appointed as Chief Risk Officer, LME. She currently serves as the Chief Regulatory and Compliance Officer for both LME and LME Clear.

In addition, the LME announced creation of a new role- Group Chief Financial and Administrative Officer, who will be responsible for Finance, HR, Communications and Facilities across both LME and LME Clear.
