SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR)- the global recycling industry federation announced appointment of Mr Federico Zanotti to its advocacy team on Monday, 15 January 2024.

Mr Federico has first-hand experience in the non-ferrous metals and critical raw materials sectors. He has worked for a Chinese critical raw material supplier, where he was responsible for development of the company’s export business, especially in Europe and the Middle East markets. In addition, he has also worked as an energy journalist in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia. Also, he has served as advisor at the Permanent Mission of San Marino to international organizations in Vienna.

Mr Federico has pursued his education at various universities in Italy, Austria and China. He is fluent in English and Italian and possess sound communication skills in French, German and Chinese Mandarin.

Commenting on the appointment, BIR Director General Arnaud Brunet said that Federico's knowledge of the commodities sector, coupled with his impressive academic and professional background, makes him an ideal addition to its growing international advocacy team and its multilingual secretariat.
