TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices remained mostly unchanged on ScrapMonster Price Index as on January 18th, Thursday. Brass/Bronze and Aluminum scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper and Stainless Steel scrap prices registered marginal decline, whereas Steel scrap prices remained flat on Index.
The price of Alternator scrap remained unchanged over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing declined by $0.03 per Lb. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also down by $0.03 per Lb. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright edged lower by $ 0.03 per Lb.
The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery prices witnessed no change on Index over the previous day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too remained flat. #3 Copper-Light copper prices inched lower by $0.03 per Lb.
The prices of Copper Radiator scrap edged lower by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
Copper Transformer Scrap remained unchanged.
Cu Yokes prices reported no change over the previous day.
Cu/Al Radiator Ends, Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe remained stable on January 18th, 2024.
Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater Cores prices held steady over the day.
Romex Wire prices were flat on Index.
The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Starters, Sealed units and Xmas Lights reported no change from previous day price levels.
1100 Scrap prices remained flat over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were flat on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too were unchanged.
The prices of 6063 Extrusions held steady over the day.
Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions remained flat when compared with the prior day.
The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained unchanged over the day. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on January 18th, 2024.
E.C Aluminum Wire prices were flat on Index.
Chrome Wheels, Litho Sheets and MLC Clips held steady at previous day price levels.
Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too remained unchanged.
The prices of Old Cast and UBC witnessed no change over the previous day.
Old Sheet, Painted Siding and Zorba 90% NF prices too held flat.
#1 Bundle and $1 Busheling prices were flat on Index.
The prices of #1 HMS too held steady on January 18th, 2024.
HMS 80/20 prices were unchanged on Index.
Sheet Metal and Shredded Auto Scrap prices recorded no change.
Structural Steel prices were unmoved when compared with the previous day.
201 SS prices held steady on Index.
301 SS, 304 SS Solid and 304 SS Turning prices edged lower by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.
309 SS and 310 SS prices registered decline by $0.01 per Lb and $0.02 per Lb respectively on a daily basis.
330 SS prices were down by $0.03 per Lb from the prior day on 18th January,2024.
Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too dipped marginally by $0.01 per Lb on Index.
The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region witnessed no change on Index.
70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices were unchanged on Thursday, January 18th, 2024.
Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.
