ArcelorMittal Announced Partnership with Schneider Electric on Low-Carbon Steel

The metallic coating on the product offers high corrosion protection.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): ArcelorMittal and Schneider Electric have entered into a partnership, by which the steelmaker will supply Schneider Electric with XCarb recycled and renewably produced steel for its electrical cabinets and enclosures.

Having a very high proportion of recycled steel, XCarb recycled and renewably produced steel is produced in electric arc furnace, powered with 100% renewable electricity. The EAF production results in 70% lower carbon dioxide emissions when compared with the same product made without XCarb recycled and renewably produced steel.
