U.S. Steel Named as One of America’s Most Loved Workplaces

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Pittsburgh-based steelmaker, United States Steel Corporation (U.S. Steel) has been named as one of America’s Top 100 Most Loved Workplaces by Newsweek. This is the third consecutive year that the company has managed to feature in the prestigious list.
The company is ranked 83rd in this year’s list. The company has been in the list consistently ever since the launch of the award in 2021.
David Burritt, President and CEO of U. S. Steel commented that the company is honoured to receive the distinction. Apart from being an honour, it is a responsibility. He thanked all the employees for bringing out the best in them. The hardworking and talented employees are the driving force behind the company’s success, Burritt added.
The comprehensive benchmarking tool developed by Newsweek in partnership with the Best Practice Institute (BPI) comprises of various tools to check how aligned and emotionally connected employees are with their companies and top leadership.
The Newsweek ranking are based on evaluation of scores, which are obtained in the following manner. 35% of the initial score is based on employee survey responses, 25% is derived from analysis of external public ratings and the remaining 40% from direct interviews with and written responses from company officials.
