B2Gold Goose Project Scheduled First Gold Pour in Early-2025

The concrete and steel work in the mill area has reported significant progress, ahead of schedule.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): B2Gold Corp. has provided construction update for the Goose project in Nunavut, Canada.

According to company press release, the Goose project is on schedule to pour its first gold in first quarter of 2025. All long lead items for the 2024 construction season have been received at the company’s freight consolidation points and is ready for shipment.

The updated construction capital expenditure of C$800 million and an additional C$90 million for accelerating underground development is in-line with the company’s latest estimate. The company has spent a total of C$530 million on the project till date. The accelerated underground mining plan is expected to lift average gold output in the initial five years to over 300,000 ounces per year. B2Gold announced progress in underground development at the Umwelt deposit and open pit mining at the Echo deposit.

The concrete and steel work in the mill area has reported significant progress, ahead of schedule. The first concrete pour was completed in July this year. The ball mill will be established by December 2023.

The company has already opened the Phase-1 of the accommodation complex in July this year. The earthworks towards extension of airstrip is scheduled to be completed by this month end. Also, preparations for winter ice road is already underway.
