IP Opened New Pennsylvania Corrugated Packaging Plant
It offers more than 100 manufacturing jobs to surrounding communities.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): International Paper announced opening of new state-of-the-art corrugated packaging facility in Atglen, Pennsylvania. The new facility will produce innovative corrugated packaging solutions for various industries including produce, processed food, beverage, shipping, distribution and e-commerce. It offers more than 100 manufacturing jobs to surrounding communities.
Tom Hamic, Senior Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, International Paper commented that the strategic investment is expected to add local jobs and help the company better serve its customers. Meantime, Darrin Hinds, Regional General Manager, International Paper said that it is exciting to see the facility up and running after several months of hard work.
Cameron Rushing, plant manager commended the team effort and congratulated everyone who contributed to its success including its team at Atglen, colleagues from across International Paper and partners within the community. The company looks forward to the success of the Atglen facility in cooperation with the local community, he added.
Several local, county and state community partners had collaborated with the company towards the successful completion of the project.
