SDI Appointed Jennifer L. Hamann to its Board of Directors

She has been an employee of Union Pacific Corporation, a public traded company for more than 30 years now.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Steel Dynamics Inc. (SDI) announced that it has appointed Jennifer L. Hamann to the Company’s Board of Directors. The appointment is for a one-year period ending May next year. The appointment is further to approval during the regular shareholders’ meeting.

Ms. Hamann will serve as an independent director. She will also be a member of SDI’s Audit Committee. She hold an MBA in business administration and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska.

Her numerous strong leaderships characteristics and logistics expertise is expected to bring a diversified background to the Steel Dynamics Board. Her extensive knowledge of business and regulations within Mexico will also contribute big to the company’s operations in the region.

She has been an employee of Union Pacific Corporation, a public traded company for more than 30 years now. After gaining significant cross-functional leadership experiences in various domains, she also served as Vice President of Planning & Analysis and Senior Vice President of Finance. Most recently, she has been serving as the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Union Pacific Corporation, since 2020 till date.
