28th March, 2023-North American Aluminum Scrap Prices Surged on Index

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

TORONTO (Scrap Monster): The North American scrap metal prices witnessed marginal uptick on ScrapMonster Price Index  as on March 28th, Tuesday. Brass/Bronze, Stainless Steel and Steel scrap prices witnessed no change on Index. Copper prices too remained unchanged. Meanwhile, Aluminum scrap prices registered marginal increase.

Copper Scrap Prices

The price of Alternator scrap remained flat over the previous day. The price of #1 Copper Wire and Tubing held steady. #2 Copper Wire and Tubing prices were also flat. The price of #1 Copper Bare Bright remained stable.

The prices of #1 Insulated Copper Wire 85% Recovery remained flat over the day. #2 Insulated Copper Wire 50% Recovery prices too were unchanged. #3 Copper-Light copper prices witnessed no change from previous day’s level.

The prices of Copper Radiator scrap witnessed no change from previous day’s levels. Copper Transformer Scrap prices remained unchanged. CuYokes and Cu/Al Radiator Ends prices too reported no change from the previous day.

Meanwhile, the prices of Cu/Al Radiators and Cu/Al Radiators/Fe held steady on March 28th, 2023.

Harness Wire 35% Recovery and Heater cores prices were flat on Index.

The price of Romex Wire witnessed no change during the day.     

The prices of Scrap Electric Motors, Sealed units, Starters and Xmas Lights saw no change from previous day price levels.

Aluminum Scrap Prices

1100 Scrap prices edged higher by $0.01 per Lb over the day. The prices of 3003 Scrap too were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index. The prices of 356 Aluminum Wheels and 6063 Extrusions/Fe too increased by $0.01 per Lb each.

The prices of 6063 Extrusions and 6063 Extrusions/Fe inched higher by $0.01 per Lb each over the day.

Meantime, prices of 5052 Scrap and 6061 Extrusions surged higher by $0.01 per Lb each when compared with the previous day.

The prices of Al/Cu Radiators and Al/Cu Radiators/Fe remained flat. Aluminum Radiators and Aluminum Radiators/Fe prices held steady. Aluminum Transformers and Breakage 50% Recovery prices remained unchanged on March 28th, 2023.

Chrome Wheels were up by $0.01 per Lb on Index.

E.C Aluminum Wire prices edged higher by $0.02 per Lb over the previous day.

Litho Sheets and MLC Clips soared by $0.01 per Lb each from previous day’s levels.

Mixed Aluminum Turnings prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb.

The prices of Old Cast, UBC and Zorba 90% NF were up by $0.01 per Lb each over the previous day.

Old Sheet, Painted Siding prices too were up by $0.01 per Lb each, compared to the prior day.

 Steel Scrap Prices

#1 Bundle prices remained flat.

The prices of #1 Busheling and #1 HMS too reported no change on 28th March, 2023.

HMS 80/20 prices held steady.

Sheet Metal, Shredded Auto Scrap and Structural Steel also saw no change in prices when compared with the previous day.

Stainless Steel Scrap Prices

201 SS and 301 SS prices reported no change.

304 SS Solid prices too remained flat over the previous day.

304 SS Turning witnessed no variation in prices on 28th March, 2023.

309 SS and 310 SS prices saw no change in price on a daily basis.

330 SS prices were flat on Index.

Meantime, 316 SS Solid prices too remained unchanged on Index.

 Brass/Bronze Scrap Prices

The Brass/Bronze Scrap prices in the North American region remained totally flat on Index.

70/30 Brass Scrap, 80/20 Brass Scrap, 85/15 Brass Scrap and Brass Radiator scrap prices reported no change in prices on Tuesday, March 28th, 2023.

Brass Radiator /Fe and Brass Radiator Ends prices maintained the previous day price levels.

Red Brass, Red Borings and Yellow Brass prices too remained flat on Index.
