International Paper Announced Key Changes to Executive Leadership

The newly elected executives will be part of Sutton’s leadership team, contributing to the company’s ongoing efforts to improve the customer experience.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Memphis, Tennessee-headquartered International Paper (IP) announced key changes to its senior leadership team.

The company announced retirement of a long-serving executive, Greg Wanta, who has been most recently serving as the senior vice president of the company's North American Container business. He has 31 long years of service with the company and has been leading the North American Container business since 2016.

In other leadership moves, IP has named Tom Hamic as the senior vice president, North American Container and chief commercial officer. Jay Royalty has been named senior vice president, Containerboard and Recycling in addition to his interim responsibility for the company's EMEA Packaging business. Also, Clay Ellis has been named senior vice president, Global Cellulose Fibers, said the company press release.

Mark Sutton, chairman and chief executive officer, IP noted that the moves reflect the company’s leadership bench strength.

Also, the Board of Directors of the company announced appointment of Aimee Gregg as the senior vice president, Supply Chain and Information Technology and Allison Magness as the senior vice president, Manufacturing and Environment, Health and Safety.
