SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): SteelMint will host the 3rd edition of Steel & Raw Material Conference-Emerging Bangladesh event in Hotel Radisson Blue, Chittagong, Bangladesh. The two day event will be held on 20th and 21st of September. The event will bring together key industry leaders and global suppliers, who will debate on technology, trends, fresh ideas and potential business opportunities.
The event will see participation by major raw material and technology suppliers from all over the world.

According to tentative schedule, the first day of the event will discuss Bangladesh’s growth story and a detailed outlook on the country’s steel industry. The other topics of discussion include Changing Dynamics of Global Trade Flows and Prospects of the country becoming the new hub for Indian auto companies.
The proceedings of the second day will focus on upcoming steel capacities and rising demand for steel scrap and raw materials, Short-to-medium term scrap and raw material pricing and outlook of flat steel industry in the country. Furthermore, it will discuss the challenges faced by the ship recycling industry in Bangladesh. It must be noted that the country is the world’s second largest destination for scrapped ships.
