SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The World Steel Association (worldsteel) has responded to requests from safety and health executives belonging to member organisations by putting up recommendations to improve safety culture and leadership in the global steel industry.

The association noted that various tools have been developed to measure and improve safety culture in different contexts and countries around the world. The recommendations are being formulated after a thorough perusal of all these tools. The Association’s biggest challenge was to adapt the recommendations so as to make them effective to different people and cultures.
