SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The global aluminum trade associations representing G7 nations issued a joint statement on Russian invasion of Ukraine. The statement condemns the ongoing invasion in the strongest possible terms. The associations that are part of the joint statement are the Aluminum Association, European Aluminum, the Aluminum Association of Canada and the Japan Aluminum Association.

The statement noted that the organizations join the rest of the free world in strongly condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The ongoing crimes against humanity in the region are frankly appalling. It extended support to the use of economic sanctions and other similar measures as a diplomatic tool to combat the aggression.
