PepsiCo To Promote Recycling Efforts in the Middle East

The expansion of collection zones across the country, collections from sports complexes and recycling awareness campaigns all contributed.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): PepsiCo- the New York-headquartered multinational food, snack and beverage corporation announced that plastic recycling by the company and its partners in the UAE have exceeded the original goal set for 2021. Also, the company has renewed its recycling commitment for Aquafina plastic packaging for the current year, in a bid to support the country’s ambitious goal to divert 75% of the total waste from landfills.

In 2021, the company along with its local partners Dulsco and Bee’ah had committed to collect and recycle the equivalent of 100% of Aquafina plastic packaging produced in the country, which it exceeded. The expansion of collection zones across the country, collections from sports complexes and recycling awareness campaigns all contributed.
