SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Indian steelmaker Tata Steel has been recognized for its safety and health initiatives by the World Steel Association (worldsteel) under the category ‘Occupational Health Management’. The award was received, on behalf of the company, by Neeraj Sinha, Chief Safety, Tata Steel.
The company’s innovative applications ‘POD Concept’ and ‘Digital Covid Safety Tracks’ won the recognition. The initiatives, deployed at the company’s manufacturing units, helped it to ensure workforce safety and business continuity during the difficult times of the pandemic.

Also, Tata Steel Europe (Europe and USA) has been recognized under ‘Occupational Safety Management’ for its zero-harm logistics.
