SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): The new market study report published by Global Industry Analysts Inc. (GIA) states that global electronics recycling market is poised to reach $65.8 billion by 2026. The recycling of electronics will experience increasing attention across countries, as a result of rising volumes of e-waste.

The report titled “Electronics Recycling-Global Market Trajectory & Analytics” notes that the future of electronics recycling will be significantly influenced by technological advancements and consumers’ increased inclination towards latest products, which in turn will boost the volumes of discarded electronics.

The global market for electronics recycling, which was estimated at $32.5 billion in 2020, is expected to grow at a CAGR of 12.7% over the period until 2026. The metal segment is projected to grow at a CAGR of 13.3% to touch $53.6 billion by end-2026. Meantime, plastics segment, which currently accounts for almost one-fourth share of the global electronics recycling market, is poised for 11.5% CAGR growth over the next seven years, the report said.

The electronics recycling market in the U.S. is projected to reach $7.5 billion by this year end, accounting for almost 22% share of world market. Meantime, China is forecast to reach an estimated market size of $15.3 billion by 2026.
