Smurfit Kappa’s Bag-In-Box Grabbed Amazon FFP Certification

The businesses could use this pre-certified Bag-in-Box design on Amazon Marketplace, thereby avoiding the need to go through costly and time-consuming testing.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Leading paper-based packaging company Smurfit Kappa announced that its 3 litre Bag-in-Box packaging design received Amazon’s “Frustration-Free Packaging” (FFP) certification. The unique certification was unveiled at its recent invite-only virtual Better Planet Packaging event. The businesses could use this pre-certified Bag-in-Box design on Amazon Marketplace, thereby avoiding the need to go through costly and time-consuming testing.

Arco Berkenbosch, VP of Innovation and Development, Smurfit Kappa stated that the company is delighted to partner with Amazon to deliver the first ever pre-certified FFP design. It testifies the experience that the company has gained over the past 14 years in conducting ISTA certified packaging analysis and Amazon FFP certification. The certification will help businesses to sell their products through Amazon Marketplace at a much faster pace, Berkenbosch added.
