Tata Steel India Output Dipped to 16.93 MT in FY21

The crude steel production during entire FY21 stood at 16.93 MT, upon comparison with 18.20 MT in FY20.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Tata Steel India announced steel production and delivery volumes in Q4 and full-fiscal year FY21.

The steelmaker reported 4.75 million tons (MT) of crude steel production in Q4 FY21 at its Indian operations, modestly higher from 4.60 MT in Q3 FY21 and more or less flat when compared with the output of 4.73 MT in the corresponding quarter a year before. The crude steel production during entire FY21 stood at 16.93 MT, upon comparison with 18.20 MT in FY20.

Tata Steel India delivery volumes rose to 4.67 MT in Q4 FY21. This compares with 4.65 MT in Q3 FY21 and 4.03 MT in Q4 FY21. The delivery volumes rose from 16.97 MT in FY20 to 17.30 MT in FY21. The company reported highest ever annual deliveries despite Covid-19-driven disruptions.

During the last quarter of FY21, the Tata Steel Europe crude steel production stood at 2.65 MT. It must be noted that the production had totalled 2.59 MT in Q3 FY21 and 2.64 MT in Q4 FY20. Meantime, the production recorded decline from 10.26 MT in FY20 to 9.55 MT in FY21. Tata Steel Europe delivery volumes rose to 2.49 MT and 8.85 MT in Q4 FY21 and FY21 respectively.
