Steel Dynamics Announced New Leadership Appointments

The transition is expected to happen during the initial quarter of 2021.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Fort Wayne, Indiana-based Steel Dynamics, Inc. today announced new leadership appointments.

According to company news release, Dennis Black has been appointed as the General Manager of the company's new Southwest-Sinton Flat Roll Steel Division, effective 1st February, 2021. He will report to Barry Schneider, Senior Vice President, Flat Roll Steel Group. He will be responsible for the operations of the company's new Sinton Texas Flat Roll Steel Mill that is expected to begin operations mid-year 2021.

Madhu Ranade, who currently serves as Vice President and General Manager of the company's Columbus Flat Roll Steel Division, will transition into a new role with the responsibility for procuring iron and iron substitutes for the company's flat roll operations. The transition is expected to happen during the initial quarter of 2021.

Further to this, Daniel Keown will become the General Manager of the company's Columbus Flat Roll Steel Division, reporting to Barry Schneider, effective January 1, 2021.  Mr. Keown will be responsible for operations of the company's Columbus Flat Roll Steel Division. It must be noted that Mr.Keon has been leading the operations of SDI’s Engineered Bar Products Division within the Long Product Steel Group.

Mark D. Millett, Chief Executive Officer stated that the appointments demonstrate the company’s ongoing talent development and succession planning efforts.
