PureGold Mining Restarted Operations at Red Lake Mine
As announced earlier, it expects to pour first gold in Q4 this year, said the company press release.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): PureGold Mining Inc. announced transitioning to full resumption of operations at Red Lake mine. Earlier, the company had temporary suspended operations at the mine, following a forest fire which began in the area south of the town of Red Lake.
According to recent company press release, the forest fire is currently under control and the evacuation order earlier issued for the municipality of Red Lake has now been rescinded. The power and access to the mine site has been restored. The surface and underground inspections carried out by the company confirmed that the fire has not caused no damage to infrastructure or equipment at the site.

Furthermore, the temporary shutdown has not had any material impact on the company’s development schedule. As announced earlier, it expects to pour first gold in Q4 this year, said the company press release.
Darin Labrenz, President and CEO opined that the immediate response and tireless efforts of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry helped in containing the fire. He thanked the hard work of all to protect the community. In addition, he also commended the efforts of staff and contractors for their steadfast cooperation.
