New Corrugated Paperboard Mill Coming Up in Ohio

The concentration of manufacturing and proximity to potential clients prompted Saica to select Hamilton Enterprise Park as the location for the plant.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Spain-based Saica Group announced its decision to build a new recycled corrugated paperboard mill near Cincinnati, Ohio. The facility, located at the City of Hamilton’s Enterprise Park, will be the company’s first manufacturing facility in North America. The company's Board of Directors had given final approval for the project last Tuesday.

According to company press release, it plans to invest $72 million in the 350,000 square-foot plant, which will be supported by local and State incentives. The construction is expected to commence in September this year. It will take approximately 18 months for the construction of the mill. The mill, upon full operations, is expected to create 64 new jobs in the region, comprising of 27 skilled operators, 15 manufacturing, engineering and supply chain experts, 13 sales professionals and 9 office executives.
