Amani Gold Completes First Shipment of Gold From Tanzania
The gold was sourced from small-scale producers in the Geita region.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Small-cap miner Amani Gold has achieved a significant milestone in its operations. The company announced that it has completed its first gold shipment from Tanzania. The gold from the Tanzanian Geita mineral and gem hub was shipped to a refinery in Hong Kong. The total shipment was weighed at approximately 6.77 kilograms of gold.
The gold was sourced from small-scale producers in the Geita region. The gold was shipped though Amani's Geita-based joint venture company, Amago Trading, which possesses a gold dealing license in the country, allowing them to buy, sell or deal in gold.

The Tanzanian government had established the Geita mineral trading hub as part of its efforts to curb illegal trading of gold and other precious metals.
