Wood Fiber Insulation Major Completes Purchase of Former Paper Mill in Madison
The site will have a capacity to process more than 200,000 tons of softwood chips every year.
SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): Belfast-based building products manufacturing company GO Lab, Inc. announced that it has purchased the former Madison Paper Industries mill along Kennebec River in Madison.
According to press release issued by GO Lab, it plans to produce three wood fiber insulation products at the facility-EM Board, EM Batt and EM Pack. All the above products will be under the brand name Timber Pure Technologies. The company has been working in cooperation with its engineering and construction partners on plans to revive the mill, by installing a line of manufacturing equipment purchased from Germany. The production at the facility is scheduled to begin in the second half of 2020.
Upon full production, the former mill site is expected to create over 100 employment opportunities in the region. The site will have a capacity to process more than 200,000 tons of softwood chips every year.
