Alter Trading Announces Acquisition of Arkansas-based Scrap Metal Recycler

The acquired Arkansas facilities include two shredder operations located in North Little Rock and Rogers, which in turn will help Alter to expand its footprints farther south.

SEATTLE (Scrap Monster): St. Louis, Missouri-based Alter Trading Corporation announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to purchase all of the assets of Little Rock, Arkansas-based Tenenbaum Recycling Group (TRG). The acquisition brings together two U.S. scrap metal recycling businesses, each having more than 120 years of operating experience. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed, sources said. The transaction is expected to close on or about August 24.

The acquisition will bring TRG’s 10 locations-9 in Arkansas and one in Reeds Spring, Missouri into Alter’s business portfolio, thereby bringing its total number of facilities to more than 70. The acquired Arkansas facilities include two shredder operations located in North Little Rock and Rogers, which in turn will help Alter to expand its footprints farther south. It must be noted that Alter already has shredder and yard operation in Mobile, Alabama and processing yard in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
