MIIT Issues Draft Rules for Lead & Zinc Industries; Threshold Raised for New Mines
China's Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) recently released a draft of the 2014 Rules
BEIJING (SMM): China’s Ministry of Industry & Information Technology (MIIT) recently released a draft of the 2014 Rules for Lead & Zinc Industries (Draft) for public comment.
Once finalized, the Rules which sets higher requirements for lead and zinc mining and smelting projects will replace the Entrance Requirements for Lead & Zinc Industries (Requirements).
According to the Draft, the authorities are more demanding on capacity of new lead and zinc mining operations.
